I have great pleasure in testifying to the ability of Mr. 7. 3. Drake, A.M.I.C.B., as an Engißeer and a
gentleman of very considerable experience in his pixs profes-
-sion.
He has been engaged by the Mowbray Munici-
-pality for the past seven years and has carried out many
important works to the satisfaction of the Council.
During the past three or four years he has
constructed over 8 miles of New Streets (at a cost of about
£47,000) which are a credit to any Municipality, and about 7
miles of Main Stormwater Drainage.
At the present time he is engaged in comm
-pleting a Detailed Survey of the Municipality.
I have always femd Mr. Drake very reliable,
monstrustworthy and a gentleman.
I believe him to be eminently capable of
filling the office for which he' is now applying and am donfi-
-dent that he would discharge his duties in a most satisfactory
manner. I have therefore pleasure in recommending him for the
appointment.
Yours etc.,
(Sd.) Thomas Mossop,
Mayor of Mowbray.
